Galion History Center invites you to visit our historic campus featuring 5 historic buildings and two museum spaces.
Brownella Cottage is a beautifully maintained Victorian mansion built in 1887. Featuring all of its original furnishings, the home of William & Ella Brown has a unique place in the history of Galion, Ohio.
The Galion History Museum is located in the Brownella Cottage Carriage House.
The Hayden-Helfrich Annex was officially added to our campus in Fall of 2021. This museum space features our oversized artifacts with a focus on Galion industry, business, and schools.
*The Annex museum does not operate from November-April.
Brownella Cottage and the Hayden-Helfrich Annex Museum are open for private tours by appointment during our open season, May through December. Any visit outside of scheduled open hours or special public events is considered a private tour.
Private tours are $15 per person. Group tours for 10 or more guests are discounted to $10 per person.
Please note that handicap accessibility is limited inside Brownella Cottage, though accessible public restrooms are available onsite. Parking is free.
Whether you are planning a family outing, group trip, club visit, or a day exploring Galion history, we are happy to help make your visit enjoyable and memorable.
