Breweries, Bootleggers, and Buggy Whips: Galion During Prohibition Uptowne Walking Tours


Take a step back into Prohibition Era Galion! This walking tour will start at the Women’s Christian Temperance Union Drinking Fountain (200 W. Walnut St.) located on the old middle school lot and will continue through the uptowne Galion as you learn about the Temperance Movement, Carrie Nation, saloon locations, the 19th Amendment, bootleggers, dry agents, and so much more!

Parking is available at the Galion History Center in the Grace Church Parking lot.

This tour is approximately a half mile and will end at the 123 Pub House or the Galion Community Theatre depending on the date of you tour. Please dress for the summer weather and walking!

Tickets must be purchased online and in advance! In efforts to keep our groups at a manageable and enjoyable size, no walk ups will be allowed.
