In accordance with the Ohio Health Department’s mandate to suspend all large gatherings the 2018 Veteran Banner Pick-Up Night scheduled for Thursday, March 19th has been postponed. We appreciate sponsor patience and understanding as we monitor the situation and work to keep our employees, volunteers, and community safe! Follow our social media pages and website for updated information on this event as we move forward!

2018 Veteran Banner Pick Up FAQ
When can I pick-up my 2018 banner?
Rescheduled date to be determined.
Who can pick up the banner?
Banners will be released to the banner sponsor – the person who filled out the registration form and paid for the banner.
What if the banner sponsor can’t make that date?
If the banner sponsor cannot make the pick-up date, they can notify the Galion Historical Society office that someone else will pick the banner up in their place before March 19th. The GHS office number is (419)-468-9338.
What if the Veteran Banner sponsor lives out of state?
See above for details on how to arrange for someone else to pick up the banner. Due to the number of participants in this project, GHS will not be responsible for shipping any banners. Please arrange with friends or family members in town to ship the banner to you!
Do I need to bring anything to Veteran Banner pick-up?
No. We will require the sponsor to sign and date their registration form that the banner was picked up and released into their possession. That’s all!
Can I re-enter my banner into the Veteran Banner Project once I have it back?
Due to the number of people that still haven’t gotten a banner for their veteran, yet, we will not be accepting any veterans that have previously been sponsored in the project.
